Adam Gorsetman, BA Psychotherapist - Rogers

Adam graduated with a BA from the University of St. Thomas, and is currently in the process of completing his Master's degree in Counseling from Bethel University. He has a background working with children and adolescents from his previous work experiences as an educator, tutor, and athletics coach. It was through this work that Adam gained an understanding of the importance of developing an individual's healthy whole being, processing his/her life story and experiences through dialect, and the necessity of reaching out for help when the challenges, conflicts, and struggles of life can be too much. Negative feelings, unchecked emotions, and damaging life experiences can affect an individual's daily life, and his/her role in a family system and/or member of the community.

Therapy is an experience that helps an individual benefit from acknowledging, vocalizing, and integrating his/her existing strengths, while simultaneously working to reveal and decrease the patterns, beliefs, and/or reoccurring habits that get in the way of a healthier life. This is accomplished by providing a safe environment that promotes confidentiality, privacy, and compassion as key components to the therapeutic process.

With this mindset, Adam enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults in an individual, group, or family therapy session. Specialty areas include treating depression, anxiety, attachment issues, difficulty regulating emotions, behavioral issues, and school related issues.
