As humans, we are born with the innate capacity and the capability to change, evolve, and grow. However, in life, there are times in which our experiences may lead us to feel stuck, stagnant, hopeless, lost, directionless…as a therapist, it is my role to come alongside my clients and engage them where they are at, to support restoration of functionality, elevate awareness, cultivate healing, and empower them! I strongly believe that effective therapy cannot be “cookie cutter” therapy, therefore, I incorporate a variety of evidenced-based therapeutic approaches including (but not limited to) cognitive behavioral, strengths based, solutions focused, narrative, and existential therapy. Even more important than the type of therapy, however, is establishing a trust-based rapport with those in which I work, as I believe that trust and rapport are foundational to any effective intervention. My professional experience includes working extensively both therapeutically and skills-based with a variety of clientele ranging from grade school children through end of life, individuals, couples, parents, and families. Educationally, I earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from St. Cloud State University and a Master’s of Social Work degree from University of Denver and am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), MN Board Approved Supervisor.

“For what it’s worth…it’s never too late…to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you’ve never felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start over again.” -F. Scott Fitzgerald
