Vanessa Robinson, MA, Psychotherapist
Vanessa knows that it can be hard to ask for help. Reaching out is difficult and can create overwhelming feelings of fear and shame. She wants you to know that you’re doing the best you can with what you have during this difficult time. In a safe and non-judgmental way, Vanessa wants to help individuals, adolescents, and couples move towards growth and health. She believes that your collection of struggles and pain are unique to you.
She recognizes it’s important to take time to understand what you’ve experienced and why, in order to help you no longer feel exhausted and stuck in your day-to-day life and relationships. Our past experiences have helped shape who we are but no longer need to confine us.
Vanessa has a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She has experience working with individuals, adolescents, couples, and facilitating women’s DBT groups and also worked with professionals in the career and creative industry. Vanessa has a passion for helping individuals who have experienced trauma and is trained in EMDR.
Vanessa is under the supervision of James McAuley, MA, LMFT.
