Telehealth
What is telehealth?
Telehealth provides a HIPAA compliant platform for us to meet virtually via Zoom for Healthcare.
How does it work? And what kind of device can I use?
Before the appointment, your therapist will send you a link to the meeting. You simply click on the link from any device (iPad, computer, smart phone). You can either download the Zoom app on your phone, or use the link on your computer.
Is it HIPAA Compliant?
Yes, We use a platform called ZOOM that meets all the HIPAA requirements to protect your confidentiality, and does not store any information nor require any protected health information.
Will my insurance cover it?
You will want to check your insurance benefits to ensure coverage. You can do this by calling the number on the back of your insurance card. Most insurance plans do cover this option. MN legislature requires insurance companies to cover Telehealth.
Can I still do family or couples counseling?
Yes. They would either join you with the same device, or if they are not with you, we will send them a different meeting invite for their own screen.
Is the session recorded?
No. Telehealth appointments are not recorded and all strictly confidential.
What are the telehealth cancellation fees?
Telehealth cancellation fees are the same as in-person: cancellations with less than 24-hour notice will be charged the $100.00 fee.
