Elizabeth is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She has worked in many different settings including outpatient treatment and residential treatment for those with substance use disorders. Being trained in Adlerian therapy, she utilizes a holistic approach to counseling and to understanding and helping heal the mind, body and soul. Elizabeth believes that each person creates meaning in their life through their unique journey. Her approach to therapy centers around making a safe space within the therapeutic relationship where her clients feel comfortable to explore their relationship with themselves, improve their mental health and build stronger, more fulfilling relationships with those around them. In addition to her work with individuals, families and couples, Elizabeth is a Board Approved Supervisor through the MN Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy for those who are in school for or seeking licensure in alcohol and drug counseling.
Elizabeth earned her Master of Arts in Co-occurring Disorders from Adler Graduate School in Minnetonka and previously earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Bethel University in St. Paul.
Elizabeth is in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) training and current consultation. She is able to see clients for EMDR but is not yet officially trained until November 2023.
