    Michelle has over 24 years of counseling experience and has worked in human resources. She especially loves working with those in the helping professions such as medical professionals, other therapists, teachers, etc., college students, and high school age individuals. Her background includes working with adults 12 and older, and college age students.  Her interests include personal and career growth, life transitions/adjustment, spiritual growth, trauma, anxiety and depression. Michelle is passionate in helping others grow and reach their highest potential and dreams. She also loves helping those in their careers or who are struggling with workplace dynamics. She is also fond of farmers, ranchers, military, business owners and their families, and has a deep respect for this way of life.

    Michelle blends evidence based approaches such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Solutions based therapy, with Christian based intuitive approaches. Michelle believes in a whole person approach to healing. She also weaves laughter and care and wants to get shame and doubt out of your way. A client once said, “Doing therapy with Michelle is like having warmth and a cup of coffee with someone, but we are working on solutions to healing and going somewhere.”

    Michelle received her B.A. degree from the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University and her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of Saint Thomas. Michelle interned at Saint Olaf College working with college students. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
